This powerful session takes us through four profound chapters that confront us with the sobering reality of idolatry and the breathtaking joy of resurrection. In Jeremiah 44, we witness God's heartbreak over His people's divided devotion, as they cling to false gods even after experiencing devastating consequences. The people's shocking declaration—'we will not listen to you'—reveals how far the human heart can drift when idols take the throne. Yet this isn't just ancient history. We're challenged to examine our own lives: what are we idolizing today? Who or what competes for the devotion that belongs to God alone? The session reminds us that following Jesus isn't a walk in the park—it requires daily dying to self, suffering, and sacrifice. But here's the hope: Mark 16 bursts onto the scene with resurrection power. The stone is rolled away, Jesus is risen, and even Peter—who denied Christ three times—receives a personal invitation to restoration. We see that no failure disqualifies us from God's love. The same grace that forgives us can also keep us from falling back into old patterns. As we stand at this moment in history, there's a stirring that the Bridegroom and Bride are leaving their chambers—the wedding is approaching. Jesus is coming. The question becomes urgent: will we remove every idol and make ourselves ready?
