In today's powerful session, we journey through the sobering warnings in Ezekiel 26, where God confronts the city of Tyre for celebrating Jerusalem's downfall. The imagery is stark—a once-prosperous city reduced to bare rock where fishermen spread their nets, a place of desolation and decay. This passage challenges us to examine our own hearts: Are we supporting God's purposes in others' lives, or are we secretly hoping to benefit from their struggles? The message is clear—God is fiercely protective of His kingdom and His people. When we align ourselves against His purposes, we position ourselves for divine intervention. But the good news emerges in John 15, where Jesus invites us to remain attached to the True Vine. Just as a branch cut from the vine withers and becomes brittle, impossible to work with, so too do we lose our ability to love and bear fruit when disconnected from Jesus. The call to 'abide' isn't passive—it requires actively keeping His commandments, particularly the commandment to love one another. When we remain in Him, our prayers are answered, our fruit multiplies, and our joy becomes complete. This isn't about religious performance but about staying connected to our source of life, love, and purpose.
