What happens when God gives us a second chance and we actually take it? In this session, we walk through Jonah 3, 1 Chronicles 14, Isaiah 18, and Revelation 21, and the thread connecting all four passages is striking: God is relentlessly reaching toward people, nations, and hearts that seem far beyond rescue. In Jonah 3, a reluctant messenger delivers a five-word proclamation to one of the most feared cities in the ancient world, and the entire city, from the king on his throne to the livestock in the fields, turns toward God. The lesson is not subtle. The word of God carries power that no human strategy or cultural cleverness can manufacture. When we bring the actual word of God into our conversations, our prayers, and our proclamations, something happens that we cannot take credit for. It accomplishes what it sets out to do. We also sit with a deeply honest question this session raises: are there people groups or individuals we would rather avoid than reach? Jonah had his Nineveh. Most of us do too. The invitation here is not to pretend those feelings do not exist, but to bring them honestly before God and ask him to do the work in us that only he can do. The mission does not wait for perfect messengers. It moves forward through willing ones.
