What does it mean when God says 'again' in our lives? Today's reading in Zechariah 8 reminds us that sometimes we need to hear God's promises more than once—not because He's forgetful, but because we are. The exile is ending. Those seasons where we've felt captivated by culture, addiction, or our own wandering are coming to a close. God is calling His people back to Jerusalem, back to the church, back to purpose. We're challenged to let our hands be strong for the work He's called us to do, and to speak truth to our neighbors without thinking evil against them. The prophetic instruction is clear: multiplication is coming, prosperity is promised, and God is zealous for us with great fervor. But this harvest requires our partnership—we must continue in prayer, seek the Lord with all our hearts, and be willing vessels. Isaiah 45 confronts us with an uncomfortable truth: God uses whoever He chooses to accomplish His purposes, even those we might not like or understand. Our criticism of God's chosen instruments will never elevate us; instead, we're called to pray for them and trust that God's ultimate purpose is salvation for the world. Every knee will bow, every tongue will confess—we're still waiting on this prophetic word, so shouldn't we still be praying into it?
