Semester Two- Apologetics 101 Session 2

Sep 21, 2026  •  Cab Malone

What does it truly mean to share the good news? That question sits at the heart of this rich exploration of apologetics and evangelism, and the answer might challenge some of our most comfortable assumptions. We tend to gravitate toward meeting people where their felt needs are -- the financial pressures, the broken relationships, the daily struggles -- and while those things matter deeply, the session pushes us to ask whether we are sometimes so focused on what people feel they need that we neglect what God identifies as the deepest need of all: reconciliation with a holy God through the cross of Christ. The gospel is called good news precisely because there is bad news -- the reality of sin and its consequences. Without that honest foundation, the message of grace loses its weight and its wonder. This is not a call to become people of doom and gloom, but rather a call to hold the full message with both courage and compassion, trusting that the Holy Spirit can use the complete truth to transform lives in ways a watered-down version simply cannot.
