Today's journey through Scripture invites us to confront a powerful question: what excuses are we placing between ourselves and God's calling? Through Moses' repeated hesitations in Exodus 6, we see a mirror of our own resistance—whether born from fear, intimidation, or unbelief. Yet God's response is striking: He reveals more of Himself to Moses than He did to Abraham, Isaac, or Jacob, demonstrating that each generation is called to go deeper and further in their relationship with Him. This progression challenges us to consider whether we're experiencing God in dimensions our ancestors never knew. The passage also confronts us with the reality of broken spirits and harsh slavery that can deafen us to God's voice. What needs healing in our hearts today? What traumatic experiences or limiting beliefs are louder than the Spirit's invitation? As we move through 1 Samuel 7, we witness the power of corporate repentance and consecration—the people gathering to confess their sins and put away foreign gods. This reminds us that spiritual breakthrough often requires us to identify and remove the subtle idols in our lives: comfort, pride, entertainment, or even fear itself. The question becomes urgent: from now until death, do we want to live under bondage, or will we stand up and walk in freedom? Today is the day to stop tolerating the enemy's attacks and declare that the cycle of slavery ends here, with us, in this moment.
