What happens when the very provision God gives us is not enough in our own eyes? In this session, we journey through Numbers 11 and discover a sobering truth: we can actually grieve the heart of God with our ingratitude. The Israelites had manna that sustained them completely, yet they wept for what they left behind in Egypt. Sound familiar? We do the same thing when we fixate on what we do not have rather than stewarding what we do. But the passage does not leave us there. God responds to Moses with a stunning model of shared burden, calling 70 elders to receive an impartation of the same spirit resting on Moses. This is discipleship in its most raw and beautiful form. Proximity mattered then, and it matters now. The spirit rested on those who drew near. We also explore the concept of consecration, not as a denial of self, but as preparation for what God is about to do. Just as an athlete trains the body before a race, consecration is the prophetic work we do today so we are ready to carry the weight of tomorrow. If we find ourselves asking why we are not seeing more of God move in and through our lives, this session invites us to ask a deeper question: have we done the preparation work to be ready to receive it?
