November 27, 2025 THANKSGIVING

In this powerful study through Zechariah 9, Isaiah 46, 2 Chronicles 17, and Revelation 15, we encounter a profound message about God's unwavering faithfulness and His call for us to reject idols in exchange for true worship. The reading from Zechariah presents both divine judgment and incredible hope—reminding us that even in the midst of God's wrath against evil, He promises restoration that is double what was lost. We see the prophecy of Jesus entering Jerusalem humbly on a donkey, the King who brings peace and freedom through the blood covenant. Isaiah 46 challenges us to examine what we're carrying in our lives—are we burdened by lifeless idols that cannot help us, or are we allowing God to carry us from birth to old age? The contrast is striking: we either exhaust ourselves carrying dead things that offer no salvation, or we rest in the arms of a God who declares the end from the beginning and fulfills every promise. In 2 Chronicles 17, King Jehoshaphat models what revival looks like when we refuse to follow the compromises of previous generations and instead return to God's Word, teaching it boldly in every city. Finally, Revelation 15 gives us a glimpse of the victorious worship of those who overcome, singing a new song that only the redeemed can learn. Throughout these passages, we're reminded that our God is swift to act, ready to move on our behalf, and calling us to be prisoners of hope who rejoice even before we see the breakthrough.
