What does it look like when God dismantles everything we have built apart from Him, only to rebuild something that truly reflects His glory? That is the thread running through four powerful passages of Scripture explored in this session, from the prophetic promise in Micah 5 of a ruler whose origins are from ancient times, to the sobering judgment described in Isaiah 24, to David's costly act of repentance in 1 Chronicles, and finally to the dramatic writing on the wall in Daniel 5. Together, these chapters paint a picture of a God who is actively at work in history, tearing down what does not honor Him and raising up what does. We are reminded that no economic class, no human system, and no personal stronghold is exempt from His refining hand. The invitation is not to fear that dismantling, but to ask the deeper question: what is God building, and how can we partner with Him in it? That question has the power to reorient everything about how we live, serve, and follow.
