What happens when God removes something from our lives that we thought was permanent? In this session, we journey through four powerful chapters of Scripture that together paint a striking picture of divine order, human pride, and the unshakeable foundation found only in God. From the fall of Nineveh in Nahum 2 to the sober warnings of Isaiah 28, we are confronted with a question that cuts to the heart of our daily lives: what are we truly depending on? The wealth, the preparation, the strategies, and the alliances that nations and individuals build apart from God are shown to be as fragile as a draining pool. Yet in the middle of the chaos and the collapse, a cornerstone is laid in Zion, tested and precious, and whoever builds on it will not be put to shame. We explore how the things that intoxicate us are not always found in a bottle. Pride, self-reliance, instant gratification, and the noise of a culture drunk on its own desires can pull us just as far from God as anything else. The invitation in these pages is not to despair but to realign, to press into the presence of the One whose blueprint for our lives is already drawn and whose foundation never shifts.
