This powerful study takes us through Jeremiah 26, Matthew 26, 1 Corinthians 10, and Revelation 14, weaving together a tapestry of prophetic boldness, sacrificial love, and end-times urgency. We encounter Jeremiah standing firm in the face of death threats, refusing to hold back God's word even when the religious establishment wanted him silenced. His courage mirrors the call on our own lives today—to speak truth regardless of the cost. The study moves beautifully into Matthew 26, where we witness the ultimate act of surrender in the Garden of Gethsemane. Jesus's agonizing prayer, 'Not my will, but yours,' becomes our template for obedience. The woman who poured out expensive perfume on Jesus demonstrates what true worship looks like—an irreversible, extravagant pouring out of everything we are. This theme of 'pouring out' echoes throughout the passages, contrasted with the 'pouring in' we find in 1 Corinthians 10, where we're reminded that no temptation is beyond what we can bear. The study culminates in Revelation 14 with a sobering look at the Lamb standing—no longer seated—suggesting the imminent return of Christ. We're challenged to examine whether we're truly awake and watching, or if we've grown desensitized to the times we're living in. The three angels proclaiming their messages serve as markers of where we are in redemptive history, calling us to readiness and faithful endurance.
