JESUS IN THE TABERNACLE- THE ALTAR OF INCENSE PART 1

Oct 14, 2026  •  Ron Tolson

What if the atmosphere around us is not something that simply happens to us, but something we are called to create? This session takes us deep into the heart of the Tabernacle in the Wilderness, specifically into the Most Holy Place, where the priesthood served and where the Golden Altar of Incense stood at the very center of it all. We discover that the furniture of the Tabernacle was arranged in the shape of a cross, and that every wound Christ would one day bear was foreshadowed by a piece of that furniture. At the intersection of the cross, where the heart of Jesus would be, stood the Altar of Incense, representing the prayers of the saints. This is not mere religious symbolism. It is a revelation of what was on the heart of God when He gave everything for us. We also explore the striking contrast between the outer court, filled with the smell of burning flesh and the weight of sin, and the Most Holy Place, fragrant with the sweet smoke of incense. The closer we draw to the presence of God, the further we move from the stench of dead things. This teaching challenges us to stop camping out by the outer court of life and to press into the fragrant, consecrated atmosphere of a consistent and fervent prayer life.
