JESUS IN THE TABERNACLE

What actually holds us together when our shared backgrounds, common interests, and similar life experiences are no longer enough? That question sits at the heart of this powerful exploration of unity, redemption, and the ancient blueprint God embedded in the tabernacle in the wilderness. Drawing from Ephesians chapter 2, we are invited to see ourselves not as isolated individuals standing for the Lord, but as boards in a structure that only becomes a habitation for God when we are fitly framed together. Paul's carpenter language is intentional and striking -- framing, fitting, building -- because the church is not an organization, it is a construction. And like any construction, it requires more than proximity. It requires connection. The silver sockets of the tabernacle, those brackets that held every board in place, were forged from the price of redemption. That same image echoes into the New Testament, where it is not gold or silver but the blood of Jesus that buys us and binds us. The same redemption that transformed one of us transformed all of us, and that shared experience of being bought back from darkness is the one thread strong enough to hold us together through every difference, every storm, and every season of weariness.
